Lip Blush
Aftercare
How to Take Care of your Lips after Lip Blush:
AFTER THE PROCEDURE:
Swelling is normal for the first 24hrs after the procedure. After you leave it is recommended to ice the area for 10-15 minutes each hour for the first 8 hours following the procedure.
FOR THE FIRST SEVEN DAYS:
The treated area can ONLY be cleansed using antiseptic wipes.
Clean your new lips 3 times a day; MORNING, AFTERNOON, and NIGHT
NO water or other cleansers can be used for any reason.
A very thin layer of Vitamin A&D ointment should be applied when lips are dry throughout the day to the treatment area using a fresh Q-tip or lip applicator.
Applying too much ointment can lead to fading, so a thin layer goes a long way. This will keep the area moist and accelerate healing.
DO NOT let the area dry out and crack. Keep lips moist at all times.
DO NOT press hard or rub when applying ointment.
Apply an extra heavy coat of ointment to the treated area ONLY before bathing/washing of adjacent areas, and immediately upon getting up in the morning
When Brushing teeth for the first five days, use a minimal amount of toothpaste. Toothpaste and mouthwash are considered “soap” and will remove the lip color.
DO NOT touch, bite, lick, pick, peel, tamper, scratch, rub, injure, or remove the peeling in any way.
Use a straw when drinking liquids
NO foreign body fluids (KISSING)
NO big foods that will stretch your mouth or spicy foods
NO MAKEUP
NO physical activity with extreme sweating
***DO NOT use any other lip products other than the ones mentioned in the aftercare***
FOR THE FIRST 14 DAYS:
NO hot sauna, swimming pool, hot tub/shower, sun tanning, tanning salons, Vaseline, or Neosporin.
NO massages, facials, waxing, threading, laser, or skin treatments on or near the treated area.
DO NOT EXPOSE the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Try to avoid being in dusty places.
FOR THE FIRST 6 WEEKS AFTER PROCEDURE:
DO NOT USE products containing alcohol, tonics, or tonic based with lactose or fruit acids, retinols, and glycolic acids on or near the treated area.
Clients should avoid all prolonged outdoor sun exposure for the first 30 days. Any prolonged sun exposure will lead to premature loss of color or can cause a change in color of the fresh pigment.
ABSOLUTELY NO COSMETIC PROCEDURES for the first 6 weeks after the procedure. This includes: Botox, Lip Filler, Threads, Hyaluronic Needle-less filler, and etc
